Sunday sees the start of the U19 season with 12 teams competing in the Ted Donnet Tournament taking place @ Brooklands Sports Club. Brooklands will be looking to improve on their Plate Finalist position of last year's tournament with a new-look squad including some seasoned vets at the U19 level and several young and eager debutants from a strong U16 squad.

First matches are scheduled for 10:30 face-off time so please come down and support the team.

Mellor A 10 Brooklands 12 Report By Iain Ellston

Brooklands 1st team continued their impressive start to the season with a hard fought 12-10 victory over Mellor A at Brabyns Park last weekend.

Despite leading for much of the match, an experienced and determined Mellor A team put in a great effort to nearly take the points. Brooklands were always in front until the last quarter when Mellor took a 2 goal lead. Determined centre play from Man of the Match Chris Summers, led a Brooklands fightback and brought the game level and then took a 2 goal lead themselves...

But Mellor were not giving up and clawed their way back into the game to bring the game back level at 10-10 with only minutes left. However, fine pressing riding from Brooklands turned over the ball and led to 2 quick goals that enabled them to take the points.
